Charlie Gale
Charlie is a recent graduate from the University of Nottingham in Modern Languages with Business and is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Charlie is experienced in leading multidisciplinary teams as Operations Manager in the MedTech startup space and has delivered Covid-19 testing and digital reporting solutions worth £600k for multimillion pound film and media productions across the UK.
A particular highlight was leading a project that saw him and a team locked down in the remote Devonshire countryside for 3 months with a 100k mobile testing lab for a flagship Amazon production. Not a standard day at the office!
Charlie is also experienced in process design, audit and training during his time with NHS Test & Trace as Infection Prevention Control Supervisor at the Cranfield University School of Management Testing Centre.
The Data Union Café is the natural evolution of Charlie's startup experience and his university research into the emerging data union industry and was incubated at the Ingenuity Lab in the University's Innovation Park.
It was there where his project became the study of the University MBA School who awarded him the honour of supervising Lubham Mehrishi for 3 months to write her final thesis in response to his research proposal. The outcome of their research together will be published in an industry report and we are thrilled to say that Lubham has since joined the Café as Strategy Consultant.
Overall, Charlie brings his passion for effective altruism, leadership and vision for progressing the industry into this project, with the hope of providing a platform for others to achieve the same.
